This month, the Center for Education Leadership (CEL) welcomed two new directors to the team.
Jonathan Aldanese, project director, joined CEL to provide professional development to school and district administrators as well as instructional coaches. Before joining CEL, Jonathan led large district partnerships and provided professional development in leading literacy instruction internationally at Teachers College, Columbia University. Jonathan brings experience as an administrator, instructional coach, and elementary and middle school teacher in Seattle and in New York City.
Karen Gallman, director, will help leaders improve their instructional leadership practice and create equitable student learning experiences through professional learning and coaching. Dr. Gallman was previously an executive director for Metro Nashville Public Schools. In her 22 years in education, she has served as a teacher, regional technology coordinator, assistant principal, and principal.
In addition, Michele Mason and Joanna Michelson now serve in the capacity of senior directors at CEL.
There are changes to the CEL operations team underway as well, which will be announced later this month.
