Lisa Rooney is a director at the University of Washington Center for Educational Leadership where she designs and leads work designed to support school and system leaders. Lisa loves working with leaders to strengthen their connection to their students and to ground their growth and development in a vision for student learning and experience. She is continually motivated and inspired by the power of student-centered leadership efforts. Lisa has 15 years of public school experience as an elementary teacher, teacher leader, literacy coach, and administrator in Compton and Los Angeles, California. She lives in Franklin, Tennessee with her family in a house full of books, sports equipment, and music.
